Abstract of:

Hall, H. (1994). Information strategy: a new item for the textile industry's agenda. Journal of the Textile Institute, 85(4), 533-541.

This article outlines current thinking on the role of information as a business resource for competitive advantage as defined by information science and management commentators, and demonstrates why players in the textile industry should consider adopting strategies to harness this valuable resource. References to current information use in the textile industry derive from findings of a methodological study which examined the Scottish high performance sector in 1993.
