Mastering Database Design

Preface

This web site provides you with the opportunity to see how the fundamental database design techniques described in chapters 3 to 7 are used in a case study scenario. The case study will use Data Flow Diagrams, Entity-Relationship Modelling and Normalisation to achieve a database design - and also create the tables and relationships in Access.

The reader is welcome to complete the working database by using the Description and Properties fields on the tables, as well as create queries Forms and Reports to fulfil the requirements listed in the Feasibility Study. The Case Study forms a series of appendices to the Mastering Database Design book - and referred to as such. These are:
